My card to my mum on mothers day

While surffing the net i came across Elains fab blog she makes fantastic exploding boxes. Well I followed the tutorial she has on her gallery blog and this is what i made for my mum for mothers day (I also made one for my darling hubbies mum).
Why is it men are hopeless when it comes to remembering special occassions. I ordered my mum a lovely boquet of freshias from Geurnsey. they arrived on saturday. unfortunatly my mum wont get this card until tomorrow (but she got the flowers) Now DH hadnt even thought about mothers day until my mum rang to say thank you. Oh well my son also takes after his dad because i didnt get anything off him and when i asked very nicely for a cuppa i then had to wait 2 hours. Karla is let off the hook as she is away at school and we normally do something when she comes home (which is next friday) Hope you like the card with a difference............... Made with..... textured black cardstock. gold mirriboard. Basic grey PP (scraps) Basic Grey swirlly stamp, stickles. silver Wire, Red ribbon. Lamminating pouches cut into thin strips
Stamp... Bought from redicut a couple of years ago its by Anna Griffin.

Had a laugh today at work

It was world book day today so we had to go dressed as a character from a book (guess what i went as?)
You guessed it the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. (And i wasn't late for work)

The kids had lots of fun the cook did us proud at snak time we read the hungry catterpillar and she did all the food in the book for the children to try. then for lunch we read the Gruffalo and had scrambled snake (taglatttelli) and owl ice-cream for desert. (she made itin the shape of an owl with waffers for a beak and ears and currents for eyes. Then for tea we read goldilocks and three bears and we had Porrige for tea. we had lots of fun!!!!!

Captured fairy jar

This was our project at college this week. It used lots of different techniques. staining paper with walnut ink, then stamping a flowery background. coloured the fairy in using prisma pencils and blended with sansador. we then placed oasis in the bottom of the jar then added pot-pouri. i found a scrap piece of hessian for the lid then again decorated it with pot-pouri.

Ihope you all like it. I loved making this
