Here is my design for the dotties world sunday challege This week the challenge was set by adele with a little help from Jack her son.

"Jack suggested that I made a card using triangles but I am going to open up the possibilites and ask you to make creations with bold geometric shapes. This could simply be part of some patterned papers or a fancy shaped card...the choice is yours BUT I want to see some geometric shapes as a main part of your work....no cheating and telling me the brad is a circle!"

And this is my card

I have used red and green card stock and a piece of gold mirror card. I have made one of these cards before so i used that as a template. the green card i cut into triangles then used the cuttlebug embossing folder (christmas baubles) I matted and layered the triangles. The main image is from the christmas dottie and george downloads this is one that was already coloured, i have added some snow writter and glimmer dust on the fur trim to give it a little more dimension. I then went mooching through all my christmas stamps and used these to decorate the other sides of the card with bit of ribbon from my scraps box.

Thank you to everyone over on Dotties world for all the lovely comment on my card.
I was very busy yesterday as i went to the Great Northern papercraft extraviganser. for the first time this year they ran a breakfast workshop. I chose Blonde moments as i love Dyans classes. we did a tag class using blonde moments pigment powders. It was run by Dyan Reaverly and her lovely assistant Kirsty Wiseman. (pictured bellow)
Here is my tag book using everything Blonde moments can be purchased from Art from the heart.

The class was well worth the money, you got a drink and a muffin, the kit to complete the project and we also received a goody bag of blonde moments stash.

Dotties world challenge "Go Green"

Wow i cant beleive it.... I was chosen to be the next guest designer for Dotties world. I am over the moon.

I have had to put this onto my blog really early as i'm going to the great northern papercrafts extravaganser today and it takes 2 hours to get their. so i wont be back until late.

Well here is the challenge it was set by Karen this week

"Everything today is set on environmental issues, so lets GO GREEN! it really is that simple, show me how green you can get! But this is a green dish with a few extra ingredients, sprinkle it with three buttons or brads, season with a little ribbon, and finally add that special little "recycled something"

This is my card

The image is from George at work which i coloured with my prisma pencils and blended with sansador i then cut him out and decoupaged him to give him a little depth. i added 2 eylets and threaded 3 pieces of wire twine through (this is my recycled bit as the twine was used to wrap my parcel up that i received from art from the heart when they sent me some blog candy). I then matted and layered the image onto scraps from my ever increasing pile of paper. as you have guessed it is Blonde moments "citrus fling" papers. (I love these papers). i then added my 3 flower brads.

I loved doing this challenge. i think my darling hubby has got used to me crafting whilst delivering parcels in his van. (i now have a mobile craft room)(how good is that)

ooohhh i cant wait till next weeks challenge.........

I am so proud of karla she has surrvived 2 weeks fending for herself in the big city. She has now mastered the tube, and yes she did get to Harrods for the friends who were with me when i got a frantic call from her saying she couldn't get a certain type of weights that she needed for monday's ballet class. (I was fretting as there wasn't anything that i could do anyway a friend of hers had got some from Harrods so karla being karla decided to go and get some. she went ALL BY HERSELF ON THE TUBE, very brave i thought). Anyway today she has been to school this morning (but it's saturday i hear you all shout) yes karla has to do half a day of school on saturdays. She then went for a mooch around Covent Garden with one of her school friends they then went back to the boarding house. where they got showered and changed and then went shopping in oxford street. WHAT IT IS TO BE YOUNG. she is going food shopping in a bit, then do her weekly washing before sitting infront of the tv with a large bowl of pop corn.

I DO MISS HER.........

Dottie challenge

Hi folks
sorry i havent been around lately but time seems to have run away with me this last couple of weeks. I am now working for my darling hubby, he has his own courrier franchise and is rushed off his feet.
Anyway i wanted to make Karla a little something as she is feeling a little lost in the big city, having to fend for herself. so i thought of making her a name plate for her door at the boarding house, I had the song title Dancing Queen and the picture of ballerina Dottie all planned as this fits karla to a T.
I used Ballerina dottie coloured with prisma pencils and blended with sansador then decoupaged. i used an old ribbon that i saved off a chocolate box. The papers are londe Moments Minaisie moo. the background usinf 12x12 and the letters using 6x6. The letters were basic grey ones that i used as templates.

Hi

Hi to you all. I havent been crafting for a couple of days, My darling daughter has gone back to school today. We had to take her to her boarding house in barrons court, London. She has just finished 5 years at the royal ballet lower school, and is now starting a new adventure at the upper school in covent garden. She is sharing a room with a girl called Greta who is from Norway. At the lower school they had lots of rules and regulations and as they were in richmond park they wern't allowed out of school until the weekend. Now she is in upper school they have some rules and regulations but they are allowed out until 10pm. They have to cook for themselves and they have a 20min. journey by tube to school. anyway thats enough of my angsiety i'm sure she will be fine.
i'm off for an early night as i have to go to work with hubby tomorrow and we have to be up at 4.30am.

awards list

Well my darling hubby owns his own courrier business and as the schools have been shut he had a backlog of parcels that needed scanning in and sorting out so he asked if i would go into the depot and sort them for him. He said there were only a couple of hundred and it would take a couple of hours. (there were 418 altogether and it took most of the afternoon,)
that is the reason i didnt get back on here till now.

115 days to christmas (Dotties world challenge)

This is my card for the Dotties world challenge set by Juliet. I wanted to keep it quite plain and not overpowering as i liked the structure of the card by itself. It was simple to make and only needed 2 pieces of card.
